2014

The Seed is Planted

Founders Marcus and Priya open the first Chopt kitchen in Charlotte, NC — a tiny counter-service spot built on a dream of fresh, honest food for everyone.

2016

First Expansion

After two years of sold-out lunch rushes and lines out the door, Chopt opens its second location in Uptown Charlotte, doubling the team and the menu.

2018

Chopt Restaurant Brand Launch

Chopt formally registers as a restaurant brand, launches its catering division, and wins its first regional "Best Fresh Casual Dining" award in the Southeast.

2020

Adapting & Thriving

Chopt pivots to a robust online ordering and delivery platform, serves over 10,000 meals monthly, and introduces family meal kits for home cooking.
